Improving adhesion
A plasma treatment can generally improve the adhesion of a coat; for almost all material pairings, a high level of adhesion can be achieved: By suitable cleaning, activating and surface enlargement through etching, every substrate can be pretreated in such a way that sufficient adhesion of the coating material is ensured. In the quality assurance of the cross-cut test, the flaking-off of the coat is an indicator of insufficient wettability of the substrate for the coat.
