We are an innovative company specialising in plasma technology and the international market leader in the manufacture of low-pressure plasma systems, plasma HF generators and atmospheric plasma. Our technological expertise and resounding success guarantee continuous, global expansion. We manufacture around 700 plasma systems per year, and have already sold approximately 13,000 systems worldwide.
1993 – The beginning of a vision:
In 1993, Christof Diener founded what is now known as Diener electronic GmbH & Co. KG in Jettingen. With a focus on the development and production of plasma systems and high-frequency generators, CEO Christof Diener laid the foundations for a forward-looking company.
1997 – Growth and a new location
The small company grew to five employees and, as a result, relocated to Nagold. The official incorporation of the company as a limited liability company (GmbH) followed in 2000, and the first apprentice was taken on as early as 2002. Since then, Diener electronic has successfully trained young colleagues in a wide range of professional fields.
2004 – First milestones
A significant technological advance took place in 2004. The first in-house developed atmospheric pressure system was sold. This opened the door to precision treatments, and the number and variety of projects increased.
2010 – Establishment of the Headquarters
As the product portfolio expanded, so too did the number of employees. Diener electronic relocated. The site of its current headquarters was established at 61 Nagolder Str., Ebhausen.
2011 – Innovation goes into series production
The company’s areas of expertise multiplied, and the first in-house parylene system was successfully sold. Diener electronic established itself in the field of one of the most durable surface finishing and protective coating technologies.
2015 – Expansion of the product portfolio
Another building block was added to Diener electronic’s wide-ranging product range in 2015. Vacuum chambers expanded the product offering as a comprehensive solution in plasma technology.
2018 – Globalisation
In 2018, the company launched its own vacuum systems, thereby expanding into a wider range of application areas and serving a more diverse customer base. In the same year, Diener electronic opened its own laboratory in Shanghai in collaboration with the distributor Shanghai Verde Instrument Technology. This marked the beginning of the company’s international presence.
2023 – Innovation with Tradition
The generational handover at Diener electronic began in 2023 with the appointment of Felix Diener as Managing Director.
2025 – Room for the Future
This year, the company is expanding into the newly renovated building on Carl-Schickhardt-Straße in Ebhausen. The contract processing department is moving into state-of-the-art premises, including a cleanroom. This marked another step for Diener electronic towards raising the bar for top quality, new projects and the ‘Made in Germany’ standard to a whole new level.

Diener electronic has been successfully offering apprenticeships since 2002, and with approximately 10 apprentices currently employed, we are one of the most consistent providers of apprenticeships in the Calw district.
