Silane
Family of silicon-hydrogen compounds with the general molecular formula SinH2n+2 or SinH2n (annular "cyclo"-silanes), which serve a variety of purposes as coating materials. Silanes attach very easily to mineral and textile surfaces. They are used among other purposes for adhesion promotion and hydrophobing of textile yarns.
