Powder-coating
Process for coating of conductive components, usually made of metal. Contrary to painting, no liquid paint but a coating powder is used which requires no solvents and thus no ventilation times. The substrate is electrically charged, and the coating powder is electrically attracted. In a final step, the coat is baked by heating and melting respectively crosslinking. Before powder coating, the substrate must be pre-treated to ensure sufficient adhesion. Pretreatment can also be done by means ofplasma processes.
