Glass bonding

Glass can be solidly glued to glass and other materials by means of silanes or epoxy resins. stabil mit Glas und anderen Materialien verklebt werden. Glass can be bonded to silicones (PDMS) after functionalisation of the PDMS in the low-pressure plasma simply by pressing both parts together without any adhesive. However, the precondition for a solid and permanent bond are completely clean contact surfaces. By means of plasma treatment, all organic contaminations can be removed from the glass surface.
