Contact power

The quality of a bonded joint is defined by the contact power. It can be directly tested by different methods, for example by peel tests. DIN EN 1939 defines the measurement of the contact power of adhesive tapes. Pretreatment of the bonding partners by cleaning, activation and etching to improve the contact power is one of the primary applications of plasma technology.
