Cyclic olefin copolymers

New class of polyolefines, which in respect to their molecule structure range between polyethylene and polypropylene but have completely different properties.
Linear and aromatic chain segments alternate in the polymer chain, the properties being clearly distinguishable by variation of the respective components. However, the amorphous structure and thus the transparency is a common feature in all COC variants. For this reason, COCs are preferably used for transparent components such as covers, screens etc. COCs are available under various trade names such as Topas (Ticona), Zeonex, Apel
