Polypropylene

Semi-crystalline thermoplastic material from the group of polyolefines with a higher rigidity, stiffness and melting temperature than PE (-> polyethylene). Due to the lack of polar groups, practically all coats adhere poorly on PP which has not undergone pre-treatment. The adhesion of most coats on PP can be significantly increased by plasma activation, usually with oxygen as a process gas.
