Precursor gases are supplied from a gas container or, if precursors are liquid under atmospheric conditions, from a evaporator. Gas supply is precisely controlled by a needle valve or by a mass flow controller.
Gas supply needs to be controlled carefully to maintain a uniform plasma and to have sufficient active spezies for optimum process rate.
