The surface of yarns and textile fabrics is modified in various ways (⇒Finish). Silanes are used frequently which adhere well to most yarns. By means of plasma treatment, a wide range of surface functions can be implemented. Diener electronic has pioneered the technology of continuous treatment of textile fabrics and yarns.
