Polybutene

Like polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP), polybutylene (also called polybutylene PB) belongs to the family of polyolefines and accordingly is a pure hydrocarbon. Accordingly, it is highly combustible but not noxious, and thus approved for contact with foods (for use in food packaging). In contrast to PP and PE, however, there at not many applications for it.
