Magnetron

A magnetron is an electron tube for the generation of microwave radiation. In plasma technology , a magnetron is used for microwave excitation of low-pressure plasma with the approved HF frequency of 2.45 GHz . The magnetron is always outside of the plasma chamber (vacuum chamber). Plasma excitation occurs by means of microwave coupling e.g. through a silica glass window.
