Lipophilic

Lipophilic means ‘attracting oil and grease’. Lipophilic substances dissolve in oils. Oils dissolve on the surfaces of lipophilic substances. Substances which are lipophilic and hydrophilic at the same time are referred to as amphiphilic. The opposite of lipophilic is lipophobic.
