ISM
ISM stands for "Industrial, Scientific, Medical". In order to avoid chaotic interference in radio operation, it is specified which areas of the technically usable electromagnetic radiation spectrum are approved for which applications. For industrial, scientific and medical purposes, the frequencies 40 KHz, 27.12 MHz, 13.56 MHz and 2.45 GHz is approved in this range. These frequencies are referred to as ISM bands.
