Iron

Chemical symbol is Fe and belongs to the element category: transition metals. Iron has a light grey colour and is a very frequently used metal. Specifically at higher temperatures, iron is highly flexible, and rather constant in pure state. In the context of industrial production, the term ‘iron’ is understood to mean cast iron, but the material steel is usually not called ‘iron’. By means of plasma cleaning , organic residues can be removed. Furthermore, an activation of the surface via plasma is possible.
