Coating processes

This technology provides a variety of coating processes to generate functional or decorative surface properties not originally present in the substrate material, or intended to protect the substrate. The following list of processes makes no claims to be complete: painting, printing, coating with films by gluing or back injection moulding, WTP (water transfer printing), vapour deposition, galvanising, parylene. The following list likewise does not name all potential plasma coating processes. There is a very large selection of plasma coating technologies available for different substrates:

• plasma polymerisation
  (PTFE coats, HMDSO, vinyl acetate, epilamisation)
• fluorinating
• PEVCD, PACVD, sputtering (DLC)
• plasma spraying
