Bonding

Bonding technology used primarily in the semiconductor industry for producing electrically conductive contacts by friction welding (cold welding) of e.g. connection windows on chips to the housings or conductors via bond-wires. Often, organic residues from previous production steps interfere with the bonding process. Plasma can remove these residues.
