Acrylic
Name for the basic monomer group which is the basic component of a wide range of polymer substances such as:
- acrylamide
- polymethylmethacrylate PMMA (acrylic glass)
- polyacrylnitrile (polymer of the acrylic fibre)
- acrylic resins, acrylic glue
- acrylic paints
Acrylic acid can be used to create hydrophilic layers and thus ensure permanent hydrophilisation. The plasma-pretreated surfaces can wet the substrate better.
